My Neighborhood
Is located at south of Maracaibo, at san francisco , its a urbanization named Sierra Maestra, my family is living there since it was founded almost 50 years ago... thats why my family knows almost all the persons who lives around our house and their family´s histories, my family lives in a center zone and we have access to all the basic needs without the needing of using a car to move, we has several grocery store around our house, a church across the street; clinics, school for all ages, since kindergarden until high school very close to home, pharmacies are close too and we have many options for this. security in our block is good, we have a security sistems between all the neigh, watching all night around our street, in 46 year that we have living in that house only a couple of time we has been victims of steeling. My family house is really huge, we has 9 bedrooms a living room, two bathrooms, a kitchen really big, even we have a called tinglado... two gardens with a lot of trees, we live all togheter, my mom, brothers, grandma and two uncles.
Maracaibo´s Style and Trends
Maracaibo is a city where diversity is the law, we found in the streets all kinds of people with differents looks and aspects, young people like to have a more modern style, fashionista, especially those found within the university, and depending professions who are studying, we see a marked difference between law students and graphic design, likes and professions are completely different and allow everyone to develop his own style on their looks like, with older people of the city, most use a style according to their ages, but this is also relative, likewise, people in the city has many places to spend their time, and feels comfortable with what their stiles and likes; and its way of being, we have MACZUL for people who likes art exhibitions, theater Baralt, which shows almost any type of artistic activity, restaurants of almost all food in the world, clubs and discos for all lifestyles and trends, including a large number of casinos and bingo halls for the elderly, in short, a city so rich in culture as are their citizens, and Maracaibo´s peoples are interested in enriching the experiences and tastes of those around us, the tolerance between us is what has led us to enrich the city in such a way to become one of the major cities
My Family
I have a beautiful family, my parents are divorced just like most parents of my friends, the statistics of divorce are rising rapidly in recent years, my parents still have a good friendship between each other, my mother as well as majority of women who are mothers, that I know, works to support their families, I have two brothers and a sister, my younger brother has a family, he has three young daughters and his couple, them still are a unmarried couple, the marriage will take place the next year, my sister is also expecting a baby and just like my brother decided to wait a little more time; to formalize the relationship with her boyfriend, she is very openly to considered the possibility of needing a babysitter for the baby, because she is a doctor and loves her work.
My family and I, as most families that i know, live in a house, but our house is really huge… , I've always believed, that no matter how unconventional your family is; what really matter is the values and love that exist between members of the same.

Water Problems
Water Facts
Today’s water crisis is not an issue of scarcity, but of access. More people in the world own cell phones than have access to a toilet. And as cities and slums grow at increasing rates, the situation worsens. Every day, lack of access to clean water and sanitation kills thousands, leaving others with reduced quality of life.
- 884 million people lack access to safe water supplies; approximately one in eight people
- 3.575 million people die each year from water-related disease
- The water and sanitation crisis claims more lives through disease than any war claims through guns
- Poor people living in the slums often pay 5-10 times more per liter of water than wealthy people living in the same city.
- An American taking a five-minute shower uses more water than a typical person in a developing country slum uses in a whole day
Children
Dirrahoea remains in the second leading cause of death among children under five globally. Nearly one in five child deaths – about 1.5 million each year – is due to diarrhea. It kills more young children than AIDS, malaria and measles combined
Every 20 seconds, a child dies from a water-related disease
Diarrheoa is more prevalent in the developing world due, in large part, to the lack of safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, as well as poorer overall health and nutritional status
Children in poor environments often carry 1,000 parasitic worms in their bodies at any time
In the developing world, 24,000 children under the age of five die every day from preventable causes like diarrhea contracted from unclean water
1.4 million children die as a result of diarrhea each year
Environment
Less than 1% of the world’s fresh water (or about 0.007% of all water on earth) is readily accessible for direct human use.
More than 80% of sewage in developing countries is discharged untreated, polluting rivers, lakes and coastal areas
The UN estimates that by 2025, forty-eight nations, with combined population of 2.8 billion, will face freshwater “stress” or “scarcity”.
Agriculture is the largest consumer of freshwater by far: about 70% of all freshwater withdrawals go to irrigated agriculture.
